Accessibility statement

1.What we aim for

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA.

We are probably not obliged to. The German Accessibility Strengthening Act has applied since 28 June 2025 but exempts micro-enterprises (fewer than ten employees and no more than two million euros of annual turnover) from the requirements for services. We meet the standard anyway: an app for exhausted parents whose website cannot be operated by keyboard would be badly built, whether or not that is permitted.

2.What is in place

• Full keyboard operation, a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, and a skip link to the content.
• Contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text in both palettes. The values are calculated rather than estimated, and come from the same design tokens as the app.
• prefers-reduced-motion turns off every animation, not to a frozen frame but to a designed still image. That includes both animated backgrounds.
• Meaningful alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Semantic structure with real heading levels, in-page navigation in every legal text, and a correct lang attribute per language.
• The site works without JavaScript. Content is never made visible only by an animation.
• Line length capped at about 68 characters; the page stays readable up to 200 % zoom without horizontal scrolling.

3.Where the limits are

The animated background in the header is purely decorative. It carries no information and is not offered to screen readers. Where WebGL is unavailable, the same still image appears as under reduced motion.

This statement is based on a self-assessment. No independent audit has been carried out.
